Unpacked from my weekend trip.  I had a very nice weekend in Colorado with our oldest son's family. They live on a huge cattle ranch on the plains east of interstate 25 between Colorado Springs and Pueblo. Their oldest son was confirmed at Sunday's worship service. Friday evening was a special program called 'Conversations'. The youth leader led the conversation by asking the young people who were to be confirmed questions about the Bible and what their faith means to them. Each of the young people also shared a special project they did as a way of expressing their personal faith. Our grandson was very creative and produced a video depicting his battle of making the choice between Satan and Jesus. He showed his attitude prior to that experience and his attitude after choosing to follow Jesus. It was very well done. I am very proud of him. Saturday afternoon was a confirmation party at our son's home at the ranch headquarters. Over 40 people joined us for food, visiting, taking a tour of the ranch headquarters, feeding the bottle lambs, milking the cow, gathering the eggs, and hiking to the nearby lake. A fun time was had by everyone.
